Town Hall: 6pm – 7:30pm
In late April of this year, an open meeting was held at the Senior Center after the then Board had scheduled and then cancelled an open meeting. A percentage of the HOA attended and a number of concerns were raised regarding the then Board, most of whom were considered suspended for failing to follow the 2019 HOA law enacted by the NM State Legislature. A number of good suggestions were offered by HOA members at that meeting including the suggestion we have another open meeting for all who wanted to attend.
Shortly after this meeting, two members of the then Board immediately resigned and a third put his home on the market. Following the HOA Bylaws, the remaining members Gary Zedalis, Mark Anthony and Barry Barker appointed two new members to the Board – Dwight Bozarth and Mark Montoya. This was followed by Barker’s resignation and pending move. The new Board appointed Jerry Peterson to fill the spot vacated by Barker. We have since had to fill Dwight Bozarth’s position as Treasurer, due to his unavailability to attend regularly scheduled meetings. He was recently replaced by former Treasurer, Dorothy Curry. The recent additions will serve until the January annual meeting where 4 positions will be open for election.
The reconstituted Board then voted to open all Board meetings to HOA members and sent notices to that effect to HOA members and have continued to do so.
