SUMMARY:Annual Homeowner's Meeting - Feb. 26
DESCRIPTION:Our Annual Meeting this year will occur on February 26 from 2:00 – 4:00.  The new venue is the Las Placitas Presbyterian Church.\nThe Water Coop Board meeting will occur directly following our meeting. \nBallots with candidates for office and amendments have been sent out. Completed ballots need to be received via US Mail by Friday\, Feb. 24\, or you may bring them to the meeting. We are offering a pilot online voting system\, if preferred.  Your ballot request will be checked against our member roster\, then we will send you the link and password to complete your vote.  All online votes will be printed out and compiled with the hard copy votes for counting. \nRequest an online ballot by Feb. 22 and be ready to complete it by Feb. 23 by emailing overlook.hoa.org@gmail.com . \nWe are offering Zoom meeting capabilities for this meeting and it will be recorded for later viewing.  (You will not be able to vote via Zoom.). SUMMARY:September Town Hall
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, September 14\, 2022\nTown Hall: 6pm – 7:30pm \nIn late April of this year\, an open meeting was held at the Senior Center after the then Board had scheduled and then cancelled an open meeting. A percentage of the HOA attended and a number of concerns were raised regarding the then Board\, most of whom were considered suspended for failing to follow the 2019 HOA law enacted by the NM State Legislature. A number of good suggestions were offered by HOA members at that meeting including the suggestion we have another open meeting for all who wanted to attend. \nShortly after this meeting\, two members of the then Board immediately resigned and a third put his home on the market. Following the HOA Bylaws\, the remaining members Gary Zedalis\, Mark Anthony and Barry Barker appointed two new members to the Board – Dwight Bozarth and Mark Montoya. This was followed by Barker’s resignation and pending move. The new Board appointed Jerry Peterson to fill the spot vacated by Barker. We have since had to fill Dwight Bozarth’s position as Treasurer\, due to his unavailability to attend regularly scheduled meetings. He was recently replaced by former Treasurer\, Dorothy Curry. The recent additions will serve until the January annual meeting where 4 positions will be open for election. \nThe reconstituted Board then voted to open all Board meetings to HOA members and sent notices to that effect to HOA members and have continued to do so. \nMeeting Minutes can be found here.
